We ask that you continue to pray for our son Ryan-although he continues to say he does not believe I remember the little boy who was so excited the day he was saved. I pray that HE remembers that little boy and his excitement as well.

I ask that you also pray for Ryan, Kellie (wife), and their new daughter Kylee. Our second greatest desire is that their home is a Christian home, that our granddaughter is raised to know and have a relationship with God our Father.

Through prayer ALL things are possible-I BELIEVE!

My great nephew, Noah, who is 4 years old has battled brain tumors since he was 21 months. He has had three surgeries to remove the tumors but they continue to return. In January, he had this third surgery and they removed 1/5 of his brain. He came through the surgery with flying colors with God's grace.

On Monday, he had his three month MRI check only to find out that the tumor is back and has spread. The surgeon can not do surgery on him again and the only thing now is clinical trials.

I am asking for prayers for my sweet great nephew, Noah. He and his parents need all the prayers we can lift up. Noah's daddy is a preacher so they are believers and know that miracles do happen. We are all praying for a miracle from our Lord Jesus. If you want to be blessed, go to www.prayfornoah.com and read his blog from his parents. Have a box of klennex handy because you will shed a few tears.

We are so thankful to everyone who will pray for Noah. We know we have at least 14,000 people praying for him around the world. (That is how many hits were on his website Monday). But we need more. We want God to show us a miracle! May God bless you!

This one is personal-my mom. My mother was once 5 ft 9 in but is now 5 ft 3 in-osteoporosis and 4 back surgeries. She hurts all the time but the last few weeks she has had a new pain that won't go away. She had x-rays today of her back and Dr. McCasland told mom she did not see how any nerve function is possible in the L4 to L6 areas. No nerve function could mean a wheelchair and possible paralysis. My mom had fusion in that area many years ago-according to the doctor that area is all "messed up."

Mother will be 76 this year and as bad as her bone density is I do not think they would even consider surgery nor does she think she could go through it if they did.

Please keep my mom in your prayers. Once Medicaid okays it she will have an MRI of her back, hips, and legs to get a better idea of what is going on.

I am asking God to touch her and give her healing and strength, take away her pain. She is a God-fearing Christian woman and lives day by day knowing He is there with her every step of the way! She prays for God's will-I pray for His will but I also ask that he take care of my mommy.

Please pray for Cindy Cooper. She is in her mid to late 40's and was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. While she is in a study in Texas they told her not to see this as a means to a cure for her. Cindy and her family are all hanging on to prayer if not for a miracle then at least for comfort.

Cindy underwent the annual mammograms and exams and was always given a clean bill of health. It used to be a regular practice but no longer is-they do not check the tissue that goes up into the arm pit thus the cancer was undetected until it was too late.

My parents have known this family for years-since I was a child-as my daddy worked for Mr. Cooper for many, many years. This one is close to home as they have known Cindy since the day she was born.

God is the Great Physician-I BELIEVE!

“Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven”

Our goal for our Prayer Ministry

The goal of the prayer ministry at The Rock of NEA is to alert those involved in our ministry as quickly as possible to the prayer needs of our members. Although we would love to pray for everyone in our community specifically, we focus our primary prayer chain towards those God has placed within our congregation. This provides us a realistic ministry and helps keep us focused. However, we do recognize the importance of prayer for those not in our church family. Thus, we would encourage you to share these requests with fellow church members, connect groups, etc.

As requests are received, our staff is alerted and we will distribute your prayer request to our members according to your instructions.

Commit an Hour to Pray

Do you feel led to spend more time in prayer? Join us throughout the next few months as we commit to spend an hour a week praying for The Rock of NEA and our community!

Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven

Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Mark 9:29  And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”

Mark 11:24  Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it

Acts 9:40 But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

Ephesians 6:18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

James 5:14-16 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
